Professional profile
Mattias specialises in all parts of intellectual property rights (patent, trademark, design and copyright law) and trade secret and marketing law as well as commercial law. Mattias is an experienced litigator and he appears as legal counsel in the Swedish Supreme Court, other courts, authorities and arbitral tribunals. Mattias has litigated several landmark cases concerning intellectual property rights. The patent and trade secret litigations relate to all technical fields, with an emphasis on pharmaceutical and biotech. Mattias represents high profile research and development companies as well as "Big-pharma" in cross-border patent litigations.
Mattias is also frequently engaged as negotiator regarding international licensing and a wide range of other commercial contracts. He helps a wide range of clients to develop intellectual property strategies and to exploit, enforce, and protect their intellectual property rights.
Moreover, Mattias is legal adviser to the Swedish Society of Industrial Designers and their members and he has extensive experience in the field of design law and design protection as well as in-depth knowledge of the product design sector.
